In my time as a Learning & Development specialist at Moz, I created educational content for users of the Moz Pro tools, and for people who wanted to learn about SEO concepts.
One of the biggest projects I worked on, was the Keyword Research Certification, available on Moz Academy.

I created this course from scratch, which involved the following skills and responsibilities:
- Research
- Planning & ideation
- Organisation
- Time management
- Presentation deck creation
- Instructional design
- Video recording
- Video editing
- Audio recording
- Audio editing
The Certification is a 5-part series focused on the fundamentals of keywords, audience analysis, a keyword research strategy, and tracking and monitoring keyword success. It combines on-demand video lessons with tasks and quizzes. It includes approximately 4.5 hours of on-demand curriculum, in addition to activities to test the student’s understanding and the final exam. The expected total time commitment is about 5-7 hours in total.
The modules include:
- Part 1: Explore the Fundamentals of Keyword Research – This course covers the fundamentals of keywords, along with understanding keyword tracking and rankings.
- Part 2: Get To Know Your Customer – This course covers researching keywords in order to get to know your audience.
